Debarking short sections

New development
In the new development of the ZE 1105 KH rotary debarker, the ‘KH’ stands for ‘Kurzholz’ (short wood). The name says it all: this debarker can be used to debark round timber sections from a length of 1.60 m, with a maximum circumference diameter of 110 cm.

Three hold-down rollers for a firm grip
Hold-down devices with three rollers each ensure optimum fixation of the log before, during and after the debarking process, both on the inlet side and on the outlet side. On the other side, the pressure is absorbed by a newly developed chain bed, with all wear parts made of Hardox®.

Optimised peeling tools
The peeling tool is closed and opened using damped cylinders in this model, ensuring low-wear operation of the machine. In addition, the peeling geometry of the peeling tools is adapted to the debarking conditions.

Rotor centres itself for each log
To achieve optimum debarking results, the entire rotor centres itself on the log to be debarked. To this end, we have installed a fail-safe position measuring system for precise measurement of the log diameter, which is protected in a hydraulic cylinder.
