Baljer & Zembrod participates in IFAT 2022 in Munich
After postponed and eventually canceled events due to the Covid pandemic the world’ leading trade fair for environmental technologies IFAT 2022 took place in Munich from 31 May through 3 June, 2022.
According to the organizer of the event the numbers of the exhibitors and visitors to the IFAT 2022 came close to the numbers of the last pre-Covid exhibition. This demonstrates the increased awareness and interest in climate policy and technologies to reduce the human footprint.
Baljer & Zembrod GmbH & Co. KG shares this view and draws a very positive conclusion. In a very favorably located booth Baljer & Zembrod presented a rail-bound sorting carriage for the recycling industry. On the electro-hydraulically-driven carriage a crane of the type OBX V with a reach of 15.5 meters and a lifting capacity of 2 metric tons was mounted. Thanks to the attention-grabbing dimensions of the operator cabin a large number of visitors were attracted to the booth immediately after the opening of the trade show.
Their interest was mainly targeted at the electrification of their currently diesel-powered mobile handling machines. This is, of course, related to reduced noise and exhaust emissions and significantly reduced operating costs. Another factor was a trend towards more stable handling and production processes. This can be assisted by rail-bound cranes which also reduce the risk to employees’ health and to other equipment on the shop floor.
